Chief Chris Langham

Christopher Langham has over 25 years in the fire service, beginning in 1986 as a volunteer with the Beeson Crossroads Fire Department. In 1990 he continued his fire service career with Kernersville Fire Department before moving to Forsyth County Fire Department in 1995. In 1997 Chief Langham began his tenure as a firefighter with Winston-Salem. Chief Langham held various ranks from Firefighter to Assistant Chief at Winston-Salem. In January of 2016 Chief Langham was appointed as Fire Chief of Kernersville Fire Rescue Department.

 

Chief Langham earned an Associate Degree in Fire Protection Technology from Guilford Technical Community College, a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Management and Ethics from John Wesley College, and a Master of Public Administration Degree with a concentration in Emergency Management from Jacksonville State University. In addition to degrees earned, Chief Langham is a graduate of the National Fire Academy’s Executive Fire Officer Program. He has been awarded the Chief Fire Officer Designation from the Center of Public Safety Excellence.

Chief Langham currently serves as the 1st Vice President of the Piedmont North Carolina Firefighters Association. Chief Langham and his wife Renee reside in Kernersville with their three children.
