Class registration will be limited to 50 students or until August 4th so register early! A confirmation letter will be sent for each student who meets the eligibility for acceptance. Due to the expenses associated with presenting this program there will be no refunds after August 4, 2017.
The NC Association of Fire Chiefs Executive Board proudly announces the Chief Fire Officers Executive Development Program to be held at the Charlotte Fire/Police Training Academy. The two-week course will be presented in two sessions with the first being held September 18 -22, 2017, and the second to be held October 23 – 27, 2017. Sponsored by the NC Association of Fire Chiefs, this course is being held in conjunction with Central Piedmont Community College, NC Office of State Fire Marshal, NC Emergency Management, and Charlotte Fire Department. Special thanks to the Chief Fire Officers Executive Development Program Advisory Committee.
The program will offer training and information critical to today's fire officer with topics including management/leadership, budgeting, strategic planning, human resources and employment law, working with local and state government officials/agencies, career and organizational development, effective communications, and many other topics of interest. Program faculty will consist of instructors from the Fire Service, local government and private sector, and will offer the most up-to-date information and strategies to help the fire officer meet his/her daily responsibilities. Classes will begin at 1:00 p.m. each Monday and end at noon on Friday. Tuesday-Thursday classes will be held daily from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. with one night session during the first week.
Special lodging is available at the Embassy Suites Hotel, 4800 South Tryon St., Charlotte, NC, at a cost of $135.00 plus tax per night. Individuals are responsible for their own reservations either by phone or online.

Program registration fee is $450.00 per person for NCAFC Members $475.00 for non-members which includes class materials, lunch Tuesday-Thursday, and one evening meal on Monday. The course is open to all chiefs, chief officers and those having chief officer responsibilities. The local fire chief will verify a student's eligibility to participate, and the Program Advisory Committee will confirm the student's enrollment. A confirmation letter of acceptance will be sent to each participant prior to class and will contain specific details related to the program.
